The Kuntze Story: Innovation-driven water analytics with a global vision

75 years of success are just the beginning: Kuntze Instruments GmbH is specialized in engineering and manufacturing high-quality measurement solutions in water analysis. The key performance areas of the family-owned company, which was founded in 1945 and is now in its third generation, include sensors for measuring disinfectants, pH, redox potential, and gases. The company also provides integrated, connected measuring systems for industrial applications such as process, cooling and wastewater treatment, as well as for drinking water measurement and swimming pool maintenance. Kuntze is not only known for its cross-generational experience and knowledge transfer, but also for its strong innovation mindset. The advanced Kuntze Cloud Connect® service, which raises water analysis to a new level, is a perfect example of  such innovation. The medium-sized company, based in Meerbusch near Düsseldorf, produces all of its instruments in Germany, has an international sales network, and is recognized as a global leader in water analysis measurement technology.

The most advanced water analysis sensors, measurement, and control technology

Engineered and manufactured in Germany. Used around the world

Kuntze Instruments specializes in designing and manufacturing high quality solutions in water analysis. Our key performance area is the production of sensors for measuring disinfectants, pH, redox potential, and gases. At the same time, we offer our customers integrated, connected measurement systems for industrial applications such as process, cooling and wastewater treatment, as well as drinking water measurement and swimming pool maintenance. Innovation is our main driver. Beyond delivering excellent quality products “Made in Germany”, we are constantly driving progress in water analysis. This is what Kuntze, as a family-owned company, has represented for more than 75 years and three generations.

US market entry and expansion

Kuntze Instruments is the best demonstration that German engineering and manufacturing skills are highly valued in North America. In 1987, we entered the US market and established a Kuntze office in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2008, Andrew Baker took over the management of the US branch and started to grow the US team. Due to rapid expansion and high demand, the US office was relocated to a newly built facility in 2018. In the US market, Kuntze focuses primarily on providing durable, industrial-grade solutions for measurement analytics in municipal, commercial, and leisure markets.
