Kuntze Automatic Sensor Cleaning (ASR®) is a patented, highly efficient process, which electrochemically cleans the precious metal electrodes of the disinfection sensors for Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide, Ozone, and Hydrogen Peroxide. ASR® maintains the integrity of the measurement while protecting the sensor against contaminants such as manganese, iron, fat and lime scale. The interval of the ASR® process is selectable and can be adjusted to your process needs. ASR® is available for free chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone and hydrogen peroxide.
How it works
During the cleaning process, Hydrogen and Oxygen gas are produced at the electrode surfaces by means of electrolysis, blasting even the most persistent coatings off the sensor.
Additionally, the created Oxygen is capable of oxidizing organic coatings, and the generated Hydrogen reduces organic and inorganic substances such as iron and manganese oxides. Any excess of the gases simply recombines to water.
