Reference Kunstofftechnik Weissbach
The company Kunstofftechnik Weißbach use the Kuntze Krypton K H2O2 to control their electrlytic cell
The Company
Kunststofftechnik Weißbach GmbH (KW) was founded in 2005 from the family-owned engineering company Weißbach, to focus on innovative processing of polymer pre-products for the manufacturing industry. Initiated by a partnership with the Swiss Georg Fischer AG Schaffhausen, for whom KW has developed and produced a variety of products since 2004, KW is now an internationally recognized development and production company. With modern and partly self-developped machinery, 50 employees in three shifts produce products ranging from components, tanks, and apparatus to complex world-scale plants.
The challenge
In a plant for drinking water disinfection, Hydrogen peroxide is being produced by electrolysis with diamond electrodes. The dosing should be controlled by the central control unit based on the measurement of Hydrogen peroxide.
The solution
Hydrogen peroxide is measured with the Krypton K H2O2 by Dr. A. Kuntze. The system is pressure-proof up to 6bars at 20°C and uses an amperometric measurement with automatic self-cleaning of the sensor. The electrodes are in direct contactw ith the water and react swiftly to any concentration changes. The patented self-cleaning is carried out every day. Via 4-20mA output the measurements are relayed to the central control unit.
Customer feedback
The Krypton system is compact and easy to use, and fits well into existing systems. Its rugged construction and the self-cleaning function make it very easy to maintain.
